Sound On My Sharp Lcd Tv Doesn’t Work… Pleasse Help!!!?

the sound on the my LCD sharp 52″ tv just suddenly went dead. i had muted it for a sec and it just naever came on … i have tried to unmute which it does but all i hear is static. the picture is doing fine its just the sound. i don”t use external speakers. they are the built in. The tv is just few months old. thanks for you help.
