SD or HD? Foggy video is usually a symptom of watching SD , analog cable, on a big TV. You will get the best quality with an HD signal or at minimum digital SD (digital cable or sat). You can certainly buy a DVD calibration disc (or try to find a DVD with the free THX Optimizer). Video Essentials is a good one and the ISF/Monster is also good.
